It’s Time for Change – May

My mini goal for this month was to have my PT sessions and drink at least 2 – 3 litres of water a day

Day 1 started well! I drank 1.5 litres of water by lunch time, I got to the gym just on time and had my first PT session with Connor… OUCH! I almost died!

Connor was great, we sat down and worked out my goals and plans and what I am familiar with and have done in the past and together we worked out that we would start on lower body, then next session will be upper body and then the last session will be a little bit of HIIT training.

Training at home with a 8 month old is fun they said 🙂 !

It was great to have someone show me new techniques and what would work better for my body type! We started with Squats and worked our way up in weight and I got all the way up to 40kg (60kg) with the bar – YES, I struggled with this and I was a little sad about it because in the past I would squat double that easy!

We then did some lunges, I think it was called the Hammer machine and then some leg presses. We also moved on over to some of the leg extension machines and did some kettle bell swings before moving into the training room to do some booty bounce/blast. I felt so sick after my session, I could barley walk and getting into my car and driving home was a challenge! At least I knew it worked, and I thank Connor for that!

Day 2 didn’t go as well ☹ I was meant to go to a causal session at the gym after work… Well I didn’t even make it to work as I was unwell today, I lazed around in bed most of the morning doing some work from my laptop (lucky my work is good like that). However, I did need to get up and clean the entire house and fix my garden before my rental inspection tomorrow sooooo I used this as my workout. I cranked the music, chucked on my Flawnt fitness wear and cleaned my house from top to toe whilst being sick whilst working from home! Lucky, I put Quinn in care until just after lunch to tackle some of it. So, by 6pm that night I felt exhausted!

Day 3 didn’t go well either! Quinn was unwell, so I had to cancel my 4pm session with Connor and I did a home workout instead whilst little miss had her afternoon nap! I did a 30 min workout on abs! Lots of sit ups, crunches, planks, Russian twists and all those other fun exercises! My fat was crying so it must have worked! I also drank just over 3 litres of water, so even though I didn’t do my PT session I still completed a workout which was great! I really enjoyed doing a home workout more than the gym today!

So, what I have learnt this week is even though I make a simple plan on my quest to get fit and healthy, I may not actually be able to stick to it so always have a backup plan (like a workout at home!)

Scott is home this coming week, so I need to make a goal that is going to work for the busy week ahead and seeming as I loved working out at home so much I think I am going to set myself a goal for 4 home workouts this week! Yup 4 workouts!! And of course, still drink my 3 litres of water a day.

Nice post. I learn something more challenging on different blogs everyday. It will always be stimulating to read content from other writers and practice a little something from their store. I’d prefer to use some with the content on my blog whether you don’t mind. Natually I’ll give you a link on your web blog. Thanks for sharing.
