Having just had a baby girl and still in the very early stages of a new business, we here at Flawnt Clothing know just how hard it can be to stay motivated and push on towards your goals. Some days it’s hard enough crawling out of bed let alone heading to the gym!
Meet Ashleigh aka @opfitmum, a motivator by nature.
Being a mum to a one year old doesn’t leave a lot of time for the gym so Ashleigh decided to make do with what she had at home. Working out in the backyard, the lounge, the park and anywhere else that gives her something to use for resistance. Better yet, she can do it all with her daughter right beside her!
Ashleigh is a natural self motivator and wanted to motivate others in a similar situation and show people you don’t need to need to visit a gym to keep fit when you have all you need at home! She put her knowledge and experience to the test and trained herself from home for just 15 minutes a day to get her body back to her pre-baby shape, losing 11kg in under 6 weeks. She prides herself on short and sharp hiit style workouts using mainly body weight exercises, and is a solid believer in balanced and sustainable eating, as opposed to restrictive dieting.
What makes this fit mum any different to other mums doing fitness blogs I hear you say….? Well, Before becoming super mum, Ashleigh completed 7 years of military service in the Army where her physical and mental limits were challenged every day. Despite having always been a very active young lady, the Army introduced her to many different ways to train and develop strength and endurance and made that fire burn more than ever before. She took pride in pushing her physical ability and was reputed for her high level of fitness, particularly for a petite female! Following her military service Ashleigh dabbled in crossfit and bodybuilding, and competed in the bikini model division for 2 seasons where she placed in the top 5 in Australia. Having such a vast range of experience in physical training, she has a great understanding of what movements and exercises are beneficial in creating a fit, toned and healthy physique. These achievements in Ashleigh’s journey have also increased her awareness and knowledge of good nutrition. Whilst she no longer follows a strict diet, she still knows her stuff when it comes to a well balanced diet. So, If you need motivation, a simple routine to follow or an idea of healthy nutrition without going overboard, then @opfitmum is a must follow on Facebook and Instagram.

??LEG FINISHER?? Forgot to post this yesterday as I used it as my finisher to my workout! It seriously burrrrns! Focussing on 1 leg: ?10 knee raise lunges ?10 lunge pulses ?10 knee raise lunges Then shake it off and repeat for the other leg! ???
