Challenge to 10% Body Fat – Week 4
This week started off a bit shakey as Monday night was me last night of night shift and we fly home on Tuesday morning. If your lucky, you can grab 1-2 hours sleep before having to catch the bus to the airport.
By the time I get home (arrive in Perth) I’ve nabbed maybe 2 hours light/broken sleep. Then the excitement of being home kicks in and the thought of sleep disappears. Not only have I had no sleep for 24 hours at this stage, it’s also been about 6+ hours since I ate anything. So I’m ravenous and tired aka will power has disappeared and the first fast food joint we reach gets attacked by us. So sleep and diet, destroyed on day one of break ?♂️
‘The body achieves what the mind believes’
The rest of the week was full on so we ate out a lot but I had a bit more control over what I ate and when, and was able to stick to my daily calorie intake. One lesson I did learn… when I go out on a bender, and take the drinks off my daily intake limit… I was allowed a protein shake and a teaspoon of rice before I blew out. (I decided that was gonna be my cheat day and nailed a pork belly mash, putting me smack on my maintenance limit)
All this, not surprisingly has added up to weight gain… so now it’s time to tighten my belt, and get back on track.
